  In 2016, Deputy Rod Brown was given the award of Deputy of the Month from the Montgomery County sheriff’s department for his response to a fatal crash  associated with  a police pursuit, where he extinguished a car fire and pulled a victim from the burning vehicle. Fast forward  to the present  week and he was fired for pulling another person from a vehicle, but  rather than  saving him, he beat the hell out of him. Brown was seen on disturbing video footage pulling  a person  through the passenger side of a vehicle, delivering repeated punches and kicks that were entirely unnecessary. The incident unfolded in July after Rondale Hampton led Brown on  a look .  consistent with  WHIO, Hampton was indicted on failure to comply charges connected to the chase last month and is now out of jail on bond. This week,  the town  settled with Crawley and  a toddler  victim of Smith’s, Jabari Boykins, a 14-year-old with autism. The taxpayers of Syracuse  are going to be  forced to  give  $200,000 per victim.  in keeping with  Syracuse.com, the Common Council will vote on both settlements at its next meeting on Monday, Nov. 23.  within the  settlement documents, the city’s lawyer denies the allegations in each lawsuit. On Tuesday, the 17th of November, the District of Columbia will finalize a bill  that might  flout existing Supreme Court precedent and greatly diminish parental rights regarding a minor’s healthcare. The Minor Consent for Vaccinations Amendment Act (Bill 23-171) will allow children as young as 11 to consent on their own in  relation to  receiving vaccinations. Their parents  won't   learn .
