Copperas Cove police  officer Eric Stoneburner is charged with aggravated assault in the shooting of Lecresha Murray. Murray says she was shot six times by the officer for no reason. Murray and the officer got into an argument as she drove herself to the hospital on Sunday. Police say the officer followed her in his personal vehicle and then started tailgating her after she made a U-turn in the middle of the road. According to the police chief, the officer resigned just before turning himself in. The woman says she didn't threaten the officer and didn't do anything else to offend him. He just opened fire on her for no reason. "I started feeling sick. I started feeling ill, "Murray says. Four St. Louis police officers are on trial for the beating of Luther Hall, a 22-year veteran of the department who was working undercover as a protester. The officers were part of a "civil disobedience team" that was meant to crack down on violence at protests. They beat Hall after mistaking him for a protester for filming them. According to Hall's suit, one of the officers has since been promoted to sergeant, showing how police misconduct is tolerated. The trial for Dustin Boone, who was acquitted in the beating, will take place next month after his first trial ended in a mistrial, and will use the video of Hall's beating as evidence in the second trial. The beating occurred during the protests following the acquittal of Officer Jason Stockley in the 2011 murder of Anthony Lamar Smith, a melanin man who was killed by a white police officer, in which the officer used an AK-47 and planned to shoot him in the head. Clarence Green and his family were stripped nude on the side of the road by police after an illegal traffic stop. Officers stripped them and groped their genitals in broad daylight on a public roadway. The officers then went to Green's home and illegally searched it. The family was awarded a $35,000 settlement after their rights were trampled by Baton Rouge's finest. The incident is a testament to the untouchable nature of criminal cops and the violations they can commit, writes CNN's, Robin Cevallos. Lecresha Murray says she was feeling sick so she decided to drive herself to the hospital. She says an off-duty cop followed her in his personal vehicle and began tailgating her. Murray says the officer shot at her six times, despite her being unarmed. The officer has yet to be arrested, despite shooting Murray six times. The cop has not been charged with a crime. "He just started shooting, all I could do was lean over and he hit me six times," Murray said. "I didn't do anything. He just opened fire for no reason, "she said. "I'm a victim that got shot by an off-duty police officer that did not identify himself," she added. "For no reason, I didn't approach him, didn't threaten him. I didn't do any of the things I did, "she told KWTX. "As soon as I did that, he pulled a gun, he pulled the gun," the officer continued to shoot at her. Andrea Hollingsworth, who is deaf, was detained by police and forced to use American Sign Language to communicate with her children. Police officer Michael Rose interpreted her attempts to communicate as a lack of cooperation. The incident was a "clear violation" of the Americans with Disabilities Act. NLVPD has a deaf interpreter on staff 24/7 available via phone or iPad or cellphone. The incident was captured on police body camera footage that shows the officers' point of view, not the deaf woman's. The officer who detained her used her deaf daughter as an excuse to shove her to the ground. A Deaf mother was stopped by police for trying to get money back from a friend. Her children told police their friend owed them $200 in rent money. Police detained her and made her children translate for them.

Atatiana Jefferson, 28, was killed by a prowler in her own home. Fort Worth police officer Aaron Dean was charged with her murder. Jefferson's sister has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the City of Fort Worth, Mayor Betsy Price, former police chief Ed Kraus, and former officer Dean. It has been over a year since Dean murdered Jefferson and there hasn't even been a trial date set for the case. The suit says the city of Fort Worth "knew or should have known that Defendant Aaron Dean exhibited a pattern of escalating encounters with the public" and failed to adequately train or supervise police officers. The city says they are going to have to determine the actual executor of Jefferson's estate before moving forward with the lawsuit. The Probate Court has appointed an Attorney Ad Litem to determine heirs and will appoint an executor, who is the appropriate person to file suit, once all heirs have been determined, according to the city's statement. A Chicago police officer was caught on video beating a mentally ill patient in a hospital. The victim's medical records documented multiple lacerations and swelling of his forehead from the beating. It took nearly two years for prosecutors to charge Officer Clauzell Gause, despite the video evidence. The officer was not charged immediately after the assault, but he didn't face any discipline from his department other than being placed on desk duty. In 2019, all the charges were dropped against Gause and he has been reinstated to his position in the police force. "Whatever happened, happened. … You have to face the consequences, "a judge told Gause when he was first charged. "I don't think locking you up is going to serve any purpose," the judge said. Officer Brett Palkowitsch, 31, was charged with one count of deprivation of rights for kicking the innocent man while a K9 tore him apart. Palkwitsch has been a free man ever since because his defense attorney refused to have a video sentencing hearing. Officer Tony Spencer, whose dashcam recorded the violent assault on Frank Baker, could not keep silent about what he saw. After he was indicted, he was placed on paid administrative leave where he remained for nearly a year until he was found guilty. The jury took less than one day to return a guilty verdict. Officer Palkowitsch kicked and stomped on an innocent man, leaving him with broken ribs and collapsed lungs. Baker was left permanently disfigured by the attack. Officer Spencer testified against the officers who nearly killed the man. "I owed it to him" to tell his story, officer Ruben Rosario says. Without Spencer's testimony, the officer likely would not have faced any charges. 

The family of Ronald Greene as well as the public at large were all told a tragic but utterly false story about this 49-year-old Louisiana man's last moments alive. According to officials, Greene died after his car crashed into a "tree/shrub" just outside Monroe on May 10, 2019. The Louisiana State Police are crying foul after footage was leaked of officers torturing Greene to death on the side of the road. The LSP claim the footage, which was published by the Associated Press is "premature" and was "not authorized" "Unauthorized release of evidence undermines the investigative process and compromises the fair and impartial outcome for the Greene family, LSP employees, and the community," a spokesperson for the law enforcement agency said.
