Current Nigerian Police Must Be Disbanded Due To The Murder Of Lagos Lawyer Omobolanle Raheem - YRC Civic Group


According to the YRC Civic Group, the Nigerian police force that is currently in place should be disbanded as a result of the murder of Omobolanle Raheem, a female lawyer in Lagos. In response to the murder committed on Christmas Day of a legal practitioner located in Lagos State named Mrs Omobolanle Raheem, a civil rights organisation known as the Youth Rights Campaign (YRC) has demanded the abolition of the Nigeria Police Force. On Sunday, SaharaReporters published a story about Raheem being murdered while returning home from a Christmas service at Ajah Under-bridge. Along the Lekki-Epe Expressway is where you'll find the renowned neighbourhood of Ajah in Lagos. Commenting on this incident in a statement that was jointly signed by the group's national coordinator, Adaramoye Michael Lenin, and national secretary, Francis Nwapa, YRC asserted that the only solution to the brutality that Nigerians were experiencing at the hands of security operatives was the dissolution of the current police force. This assertion was made in a statement that was issued in response to this incident.
