An unarmed father is executed by a cop who kicked through his door.

Johnny Bolton, a father of two, had committed no crime and was not sought by police on the night he died. However, as a result of the state's heartless destruction of all individuals who cross its path, Bolton became collateral damage - killed by the drug war's enforcers — while sleeping on a couch.

The Smyrna County district attorney has subsequently recommended charging Samuel Daniel, the sheriff's officer who murdered Bolton that morning. After hearing evidence from a GBI agent, the medical examiner, camera video, witness comments, and pictures, a grand jury concluded last month that Daniel's use of force was not warranted in the least.

"It is regular policy for the District Attorney's Office to refer all officer-involved shooting events to a grand jury. If the grand jury recommends further action, more investigation will be conducted to decide which charges, if any, should be sent to a future grand jury. Regarding the officer-involved shooting of Johnny Bolton, the District Attorney's Office brought it before a grand jury on September 9, 2021, which recommended further action. The event is still being investigated. To be clear, the District Attorney's Office has not yet decided which charges, if any, would be brought before a grand jury," the DA's office stated in a statement Thursday.

Additionally to the suggested charges, Diamond Bolton and Kyrie Turner, Bolton's daughters, have filed a federal lawsuit against Daniel demanding damages. Zack Greenamyre, who represents the family, was forthright in his description of the deputy's actions that morning.

"Defendant Daniel behaved with intentional indifference, reckless disregard for the consequences of their acts, a purpose to hurt, and malice," the complaint states.

Bolton was sleeping on the couch of a friend's apartment on the morning of the raid when police conducted a no-knock raid in search of three persons who resided in the "boarding" type flat. Bolton had not been identified as a subject of interest by police.

When officers burst through the door in the early morning hours of Dec. 17, 2020, the father of two was innocent, unarmed, and sleeping. Bolton awoke on the couch as many armed stormtroopers attacked the flat, arresting individuals for random drugs considered unlawful by the state. Before he realised what was happening, deputy Daniel shot him twice in the chest.

"What was the reason for the cops shooting and killing my brother? What happened to accountability? This occurred on December 17, 2020; where is the accountability?" questioned Daphne Bolton, the victim's sister.

Greenamyre gathered evidence from witnesses who said that Bolton was unarmed and asleep when agents from the Marietta Cobb Smyrna (MCS) Organized Crime Task Force and Cobb County Sheriff's Office SWAT squad attacked the flat.

Bolton stepped up, unaware of what was occurring, only to be shot many times. He has never had the opportunity to comply. His death was dismissed as an "accident" in the state's wicked pursuit to impose limits on what we can and cannot do with our own bodies.

As the PBWW website has continually noted, the concept of ending no-knock raids is revolutionary in terms of American policy, and its significance cannot be understated.

Across the nation, police undertake tens of thousands of no-knock raids each year, mostly as a result of the failing drug war.

During one of them, Breonna Taylor was assassinated. Numerous others are assaulted, frightened, and murdered as well, and officers, like Breonna, often act based on incorrect information.

"Theoretically, no-knock raids should be employed only in the most perilous scenarios... In actuality, though, no-knock raids are a prevalent strategy, especially in less-than-dangerous situations," Vox reported in 2015 after conducting an in-depth examination.

Johnny Bolton is a case in point.
