Police release heavily edited, publicized video to bring to justice father of armed murderer in front yard

Patrick Warren Sr. was a loving father, husband, and pastor in his community whose life was taken from him earlier this month after his family called the police for help. The family asked for a psychological state expert, but in line with their attorney, one wasn't available, so a Killeen cop showed up instead. Several minutes after exposure, the officer would kill Warren in his own yard as Warren was unarmed.

The department of local government would take over every week to release the officer's body camera footage showing the killing. This was likely thanks to the actual fact that it's been heavily edited and police added a plethora of commentary to influence the viewer into believing the officer had no other choice but to kill the unarmed dad.

Originally, the shooting was captured on the family’s Ring doorbell camera yet as cellphone footage. However, the body camera — minus the police spin — shows the complete incident.

Lee Merritt, a national civil rights attorney who represents victims of police brutality across the country said that Warren’s family called police to enkindle a psychological state professional after they noticed changes in Warren’s behavior.

Police confirmed the family asked for a psychological state professional and confirmed that their single mental state officer was off-duty at the time. So, Officer Reynaldo Contreras, a five-year department veteran, was sent to the house instead. Contreras had no experience in psychological state calls.

The day before Warren was killed, the officer trained in the psychological state was able to get Warren to the hospital without incident. Sadly, the very next day, he would wish help again, which officer wouldn't be available.

Merritt explained how the incident unfolded in a very post to Twitter.

#PatrickWarrenSr was murdered by

@KilleenPD
. He was on his own property. He was unarmed. He was suffering a psychological state crisis and easily needed help. Instead, he was shot thrice in his chest and tased. We demand the immediate arrest of this officer.

As the video shows, the officer rings the doorbell, then enters the house. Merritt explained that Warren then asked the officer to depart his home, which he does.

After the officer backs up into the yard, Warren walks outside as Contreras pulls his taser. Remember, Warren had not committed a criminal offense and his family had only called the police for help. Nevertheless, the officer escalates matters when he could have simply gotten back in his car, walked away, or left.

When the officer tells Warren to induce on the bottom, Warren refuses and therefore the officer tasers him. Though he falls to the bottom temporarily, Warren pulls the taser prongs from his body and keeps walking toward the officer.

Warren’s children and wife are on the porch begging Warren to “sit down” but he doesn't.

Just as the family asks the officer to not shoot him, the cop fires multiple rounds into the unarmed man — killing him in his own grounds.

In the newly released video, police claim that the officer who just filled the unarmed man with holes then tries to “help” him by screaming at him to roll over as he bleeds out.

“The family of Patrick Warren Sr. demands the immediate firing and arrest of the officer chargeable for his death,” Merritt said in a very announcement. “Bell County prosecuting attorney Henry Garza must be prepared to conduct an independent investigation and prosecution of this officer.”

However, this can likely not happen as police are already defending the officer and justifying the shooting.

“The narrative is so significantly false, we've decided to release the whole video from the Warren house…. we hope it tells a higher story and therefore the truth about what happened on Jan. 10,” said Killeen officer Charles Kimble. “It’s a tragic situation. It’s hard to observe,” he said.

Conveniently absent from the narrative given by police within the footage below is that the indisputable fact that Contreras could’ve simply gotten in his car and left as Warren had not committed against the law and Contreras was clearly incapable of resolving the case.

According to the Killeen local department, Contreras has been placed on administrative leave — which is the standard operating procedure — because the Texas Rangers investigate.
