Town Pushing for Policy that Will Allow Cops to Accept ‘Sexual Gratuities’ from Citizens

Over the years, TFTP has reported on utterly asinine requests for the special privilege for enforcement. We’ve seen departments exempt themselves from sex with prostitutes in order that they could rotate and arrest prostitutes also as dozens of states that allowed cops to possess sex with people in their custody. Now, a town in NY is taking this ridiculousness to the acute by proposing legislation to permit officers to receive ‘sexual gratuities’ while on duty. Seriously.

As if figuratively licking the boots of an authoritarian state wasn’t ok, citizens of Tonawanda, NY are pushing the Town Board to vary its policies to permit cops to receive literal sexual favors from worshipful citizens.

When this report found our radar, we originally thought it had been satire. However, the Buffalo Chronicle isn't The Onion, and consistent with the report, this is often actually happening.

The push to permit citizens to “tip” cops with sexual favors comes amid sexual misconduct allegations against a well-liked career policeman, Brett Rider, 46.

According to the Chronicle, the Town of Tonawanda is getting to discuss the possible termination of Rider, a veteran public safety dispatcher, after an indoor investigation found he committed misconduct on the work. On Monday, the Town Board passed a resolution to let the town supervisor or captain discipline dispatcher Brett Rider.

The Board wouldn't explain what Rider is accused of doing, but it's widely rumored that Rider is accused of getting sexual activity with a wife, age 56, while on duty. The department also stepped up harassment training after the allegations.

“We want all of our departments to teach their employees and obtain good training on a spread of topics, harassment being one among them,” said Joseph Emminger, Town of Tonawanda Supervisor.

Apparently, some citizens are upset about Rider’s accusations of sexual misconduct in order that they are pushing for legislation to permit cops to interact in sexual misconduct without repercussions.

The Chronicle notes that the policy wouldn't allow officers to request sexual gratuities under any circumstance, but within the event that such a non-monetary gratuity is obtainable, the officer wouldn't be punished for accepting it, goodbye because the encounter is a smaller amount than quarter-hour and therefore the officer declines to require his next scheduled 15-minute break.

Residents are advocating for offering up sex tips to cops on how to spice up morale.

“In this political environment, with all the horrible things being said about our cops within the national media, this policy would be a true morale building,” says Karen, a Tonawanda resident and supporter of the about-face who asked that her surname not be published. She is leading a woman’s group that's lobbying for the new policy, and she or he is encouraging other supporters of the new policy to hitch her at Monday’s township committee meetingconsistent with the Chronicle.

“Karen” went on to means that citizens should have the power to travel further than simply licking the proverbial boot by offering to possess sex with the boot instead.

“Our cops are total gentlemen. More times than not, they might politely decline any physical gratuities,” she explains. “People should feel comfortable expressing what proportion they appreciate the police and therefore the work that they are doing .”

The group of which Karen may be a part of, The Coalition of Suburban Women Voters is additionally pushing for an identical law at a state level so all cops in NY could receive sex gratuities.

To be clear, cops should be ready to have consensual sex with anyone they need while off-duty. But allowing a taxpayer-funded government employee to gather a paycheck to possess sex is like something out of the Roman Empire.

What’s more, given the propensity of cops to commit crimes of sexual misconduct, legislation like this is able to open Pandora’s box by intertwining sex authoritatively figures for favors or special treatment under the law. it might be rife with abuse and therefore the incontrovertible fact that anyone is considering it speaks to the ridiculous level of statism during which the land of the free currently finds itself.
